Driver of the Year Competition

July 2005 saw the launch of Dean Taxis new annual "Driver of the Year" competition where the lucky winner receives the use of a brand new licensed hire vehicle free of charge for a WHOLE YEAR!!!
This is a Prestigious award, which is hotly contested and richly deserved by the eventual winner. The winner needs to show that he or she has demonstrated excellence in the field of customer service, attitude and presentation amongst a host of other criteria. Congratulations to this years winner Mark Cavanagh who is pictured below receiving his award from Operations Director Steve Orrock.

Pictured above is the Worshipful Mayor of Gateshead, Councillor Joe Mitchinson, having just drawn the winning ticket in the Dean Taxis Free Prize Draw Holiday of a lifetime to Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The winning ticket number, together with full details of all shadow numbers in the event that the prize is not claimed are published in the Herald and Post and the Evening Chronicle newspapers on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th November 2005 respectively.
